Our Derf needle holder is short and light, so it gives excellent control for fine sutures. It is 4-3/4″ (121mm) long, with tungsten carbide jaws.

You can choose serrated or smooth jaws. Because it is small, it sits comfortably in the hand during fine work. As a result, it suits facial, eyelid and paediatric surgery.

Cleaning and Sterilization

Clean the needle holder soon after each use. First, open the ratchet and soak it in a pH-neutral enzymatic cleaner. Then brush the jaws and box joint with a soft nylon brush. After that, rinse and dry it fully. Finally, autoclave it in the open position. Also, check the jaw inserts often, so worn tips get serviced early.
