Our jeweler dilator forceps open small vessel ends gently before anastomosis. They are 4-1/2″ (114mm) long, with smooth, diamond dust coated tips.
First, you slide the closed tips into the vessel. Then you let them open slowly to dilate the lumen. Because the tips are smooth, they protect the vessel wall. Also, the coating helps you hold tissue without slipping.

Cleaning and Sterilization
Clean the forceps soon after each use. First, soak them in a pH-neutral enzymatic cleaner. Then brush the tips gently with a soft nylon brush. After that, rinse and dry them fully. Finally, autoclave them with your standard hospital steam cycle. However, avoid wire brushes and abrasive pads, since they wear down the diamond dust coating.
