Doyen Rib Rasparatory

The Doyen rib raspatory strips the periosteum cleanly from the back of the rib. Its curved, hooked end follows the rib, so you free it with little damage to nearby tissue.

You can choose a left or right curve, in adult or pediatric size. In addition, the 17.5cm length gives good leverage with fine control. Surgeons use it in rib cartilage harvest, chest wall and thoracic surgery.

Cleaning and Sterilization

Clean the raspatory soon after each use. First, soak it in a pH-neutral enzymatic cleaner. Then brush the hooked end to remove tissue and bone debris. After that, rinse and dry it fully. Finally, autoclave it with your standard hospital steam cycle.
